Who We Are
Donation Scout pairs nonprofit organizations and charitable businesses who desire funding, with businesses looking to pay it forward. Businesses, in return, receive brand recognition through a logo placement or business name mention.
DonationScout was founded in early 2014 by a team of group of friends and experienced entrepreneurs, dreaming of facilitating win-win connections between businesses and nonprofits for the greater good.
As individual small business owners, we found that we were each looking for ways to spread the word about our growing companies, while giving back at the same time. We started out by sponsoring our kids’ athletic teams and local events, and soon realized we wanted online opportunities as well. With few viable options, we decided to fill this gap ourselves, and Donation Scout was founded.
Our backgrounds include fundraising, non-profit leadership, and small business ownership – so we know both sides – what business are looking for, and what nonprofits need.

Meet Our Lead Scout: Elisa Bowen
Elisa is always ready with her fresh ideas and brings to us new ways of doing things.
She received a bachelor’s degree in applied science, and then promptly began volunteering in the Dominican Republic. She met her husband, Henry, who was also volunteering at the time. After returning to the states and deciding to start a family, Elisa realized she still felt the need to commit her time to a worthy cause.
We are proud to have her as a DonationScout. Her dedication, compassion, and experience make her an essential part of our operation.
